‍Successful, privately owned investment business that has grown from a small property portfolio into managing substantial and increasingly complex portfolios.
Newly created role purely as a result of growth, they are needing and experienced Senior Fund Accountant or Fund Accounting Manager to provide structure, oversight, and forward-thinking capability.

The role is office-based in Newmarket.


‍The role.
‍
‍As Fund Accounting Manager, you’ll take ownership of overseeing fund accounting across multiple property portfolios while helping evolve the finance function as the business grows. This is not just a “heads-down processing” role. You’ll be expected to:

• Produce high quality work while also providing support and oversight to the fund accountants.
• Partner closely with the CFO on structure, reporting, and growth initiatives.
• Improve systems, tools, and processes to support scale and complexity.

‍Key responsibilities.‍

• Oversight of fund accounting across multiple property portfolios.
• Review of month-end processes, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Support and mentor fund accountants, acting as a point of escalation.
• Partner with the CFO on financial reporting, structure, and priorities.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and controls.
• Support integration of new portfolios and acquisitions.
  
  

About you.
‍‍

• Ideally be CA/CPA qualified.
• Background in fund accounting, property accounting, or investment. accounting with expertise in IFRS 16 lease accounting, fair value adjustments, NAV/unit pricing, and fund audits.
• Comfortable operating at a level between execution and leadership
• Curious about systems, tooling, and how finance functions evolve as businesses scale.
