They are growing and have created a new position for a Financial Controller.

About the Role

‍

We're looking for a technically strong, commercially minded finance leader to take ownership of our fund accounting function. Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll lead a small team while ensuring accurate, investor-ready reporting across our portfolio of 17 funds and syndicates.

‍

You'll be attending AGMs, presenting to investors, driving process improvements, and building the systems and capability our client needs to scale through M&A activity.

‍

What You'll Be Doing

‍

Leading the function:

‍

• Oversee the fund accounting team and set the standard for quality and timeliness
• Coach and develop junior accountants to build technical strength across the team
• Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and reporting tools

‍

Owning the technical delivery:

‍

• Month-end close for 17 funds/syndicates (WD7 deadline)
• NAV calculations, unit pricing, and distribution modelling
• IFRS 16 lease accounting, fair value adjustments, and valuation reconciliations
• 12-18 month rolling cashflow forecasts across the portfolio
• Opex washups, tenant recoveries, and property-level adjustments
• Annual financial statements and audit leadership

Partnering with stakeholders:

‍

• Attend AGMs and present financial results to investors
• Prepare investor packs, quarterly commentary, and lender reporting
• Support the CFO with covenant reporting and strategic financial analysis
• Work with property management to ensure data integrity and accurate reconciliations

What You'll Bring

‍

• Ideally CA/CPA qualified and must have at least 5yrs + in property fund accounting
• Deep technical expertise in IFRS 16, NAV/unit pricing, and fund structures
• Experience leading or mentoring accounting teams
• Track record of improving processes, not just maintaining them
• Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
• Strong commercial understanding of lease structures and OPEX mechanics
